Uri Aug 13 : The Army on Wednesday morning thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, resulting in a fierce gunfight with terrorists.
According to official sources, one soldier was killed in action during the exchange of fire. The Army has launched a counter-infiltration and Border Action Team (BAT) operation in the area, while a massive search operation is currently underway to flush out the infiltrators.
