New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reaffirmed India’s commitment to the BRICS bloc, calling it a “powerful force for economic cooperation and global good”.
PM Modi arrived in Rio de Janeiro to attend the annual summit of the five-nation grouping.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi expressed gratitude to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for hosting the summit. “Grateful to President Lula for hosting this year’s BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. BRICS remains a powerful force for economic cooperation and global good,” the prime minister posted.
Modi landed in the Brazilian city last night, marking the fourth leg of his five-nation diplomatic tour, which has already taken him to Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Argentina.
