Jammu, October 28, 2026: Shri Mohd Aslam, IPS, Commandant, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Jammu, held a Darbar at the Battalion Headquarters to interact with personnel of all ranks, review their concerns, and address their grievances.
The Darbar commenced with a welcome address by Dy. SP Dinesh Gupta, followed by a briefing by Dy. SP Lalit Kumar on the role and responsibilities of SDRF in disaster management, rescue operations, and emergency response.
Addressing the gathering of officers/officials of SDRF 2nd* Battalion , Shri Mohd Aslam, IPS, laid special emphasis on the paramount importance of discipline, professionalism, dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility in the discharge of official duties*. He underscored that discipline and teamwork form the backbone of an effective force, while commitment, coordination, and a spirit of service are essential for excellence in disaster response and rescue operations.
During the interaction, the Commandant patiently listened to the concerns and grievances of the personnel and assured them that all genuine issues would receive due consideration and be addressed appropriately. Reaffirming his commitment to personnel welfare, he advised all ranks that they could approach him by establishing both channels for raising grievance in person through the Orderly Room on any day of the week and telephonically without implying that every issue would necessarily be resolved immediately, and that all genuine complaints, would be examined and addressed promptly.
The Darbar provided a valuable platform and opportunity to all Ranks of SDRF Bn directly to interact with Commandant and addressed their grievances.The interaction inturn reaffirmed the SDRF leadership’s commitment to personnel welfare, effective communication and professional excellence.
