7th edition of ZNS NIST’s flagship fashion event brought together more than 180 designers and makeup artists and over 120 professional models at Ramada Jammu
JAMMU, OCTOBER 2nd, 2026:
ZNS NIST Shiksha Academy hosted the 7th edition of ZNS Fashion Fusion 2026 at Ramada, Jammu (Vijaypur), bringing together emerging designers, makeup artists, students and professional models from Jammu & Kashmir.
The event provided participants with a platform to present their creativity, technical skills and contemporary fashion concepts to a wider audience.
With more than a decade of experience in skill-based education, ZNS NIST Shiksha Academy provides professional training and practical exposure in beauty and fashion. The academy has trained thousands of students and continues to create opportunities for them to apply classroom learning in professional settings.
This year’s edition featured more than 180 designers and makeup artists associated with the academy, along with over 120 professional models, making it one of the region’s major fashion showcases.
Femina Miss India World 2026 Sadhvi Sail Attended the Event
Sadhvi Sail, Femina Miss India World 2026, travelled from Mumbai to Jammu to attend the event and view the work of designers, makeup artists and models from Jammu & Kashmir.
Her participation added prominence to the showcase and gave participants an opportunity to engage with a professional fashion platform.
Four Signature Fashion Rounds
ZNS Fashion Fusion 2026 featured four curated rounds, each presenting a distinct theme and creative approach:
1. Fusion of Dogra Heritage
This round highlighted the cultural identity and artistic traditions of the Dogra region. Designers combined traditional influences with contemporary fashion through suits, gowns, sarees and dresses featuring embellishments inspired by Dogra art and aesthetics.
2. ICy Glow Glam
This pageantry-inspired round featured elegant and sophisticated looks, with predominantly white and refined colour palettes.
3. Denim Revolution – Colour & Infinite Change
The round explored denim’s versatility through patterns, one-piece outfits, unconventional designs and casual styles.
4. Royal Redness
Focusing on red as a symbol of royalty, elegance and bridal beauty, this round featured luxurious fabrics, embellishments and contemporary silhouettes in varying shades of red.
Distinguished Guests and Personalities
The event was attended by several distinguished guests and dignitaries, including:
– Sohail Kazmi – Waqf Board Member and Senior Journalist
– Sunaina Mehta, JKAS – Principal, Revenue Training Institute & Land Records, J&K
– Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, JKAS – Joint Director, Government of J&K
– Anissa Nabi, JKAS – Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies
Other attendees included personalities from journalism, music, fashion, technology, entertainment and social initiatives, including Ravinder Singh, Sonali Dogra, Sars Bharti, Sonal Aman Sharma, Amar Chauhan, Sahil Sharma, Kritika Khanna, Aisha Gujjar, Supreet Kour, Nazish Kazmi, Kusum Tickoo, Meenakshi Bhagat, Shivam Singh, Ruhi Sharma, Abhimanyu Tripathi and Nishant Aggarwal, Inderjeet Raina among others.

Vision Behind ZNS Fashion Fusion
The event was organised under the guidance of ZNS NIST Founder Shabir Malik and Nusrat Malik, who emphasise the importance of providing students with professional opportunities to demonstrate their skills.
Speaking about the initiative, Shabir Malik and Nusrat Malik said:

Designing, makeup artistry, modelling and event participation allow students to learn beyond the classroom while developing confidence, creativity, teamwork and professionalism.”»
They thanked the participating designers, makeup artists, models, students, guests, partners and team members involved in organising the event.

Connecting Skill Education with the Fashion Industry
ZNS Fashion Fusion is intended to connect skill-based education with the professional fashion industry. The initiative gives students practical exposure to fashion trends, styling, makeup artistry, modelling, backstage management, design presentation and event production.
The seventh edition enabled emerging talent from Jammu & Kashmir to present their work before industry professionals, guests and a wider audience.
ZNS Fashion Fusion 2026 showcased skill, creativity, Dogra heritage and the aspirations of emerging designers, makeup artists, models and fashion professionals.
